AB 1263 Customer Acknowledgment Form

Effective January 1, 2026, California law requires additional steps for certain firearm-related products shipped to California.

Because your order is shipping to California, RailWoods must complete the following verification steps before your order can be processed and shipped.

This applies to California shipping addresses only.

Step 1: Place Your Order

Place your order normally through our website.

After checkout, please complete the steps below so we can verify and process your order.

Orders shipping to California cannot be shipped until all required information is received and reviewed.

Step 2: Send Proof of Age and Identity

California law requires us to verify the purchaser’s age and identity.

Please email a photo or scan of your valid government-issued ID to:

Your ID must show:

Name
Date of birth
Shipping address

The name and shipping address on your order must match the information on your ID.

Step 3: Shipping Address Must Match Your ID

Under California requirements, we can only ship affected orders to an address that matches the purchaser’s identification.

Before submitting your order, please make sure your shipping address exactly matches your ID.

If the address does not match, we may need to cancel or delay the order.

Step 4: Required Legal Notice

By placing an order for affected products shipping to California, you acknowledge that you have received and understand the following notice.

California law generally makes it a crime to engage in the following conduct without a valid license to manufacture firearms:

  1. Manufacturing more than three firearms per calendar year in California.

  2. Manufacturing a firearm using a 3D printer or CNC milling machine.

  3. Manufacturing a firearm for the purpose of selling or transferring ownership of that firearm to another person who is not licensed to manufacture firearms.

  4. Manufacturing a firearm for the purpose of selling, loaning, or transferring that firearm with the intent to complete the sale, loan, or transfer without a required background check through a licensed firearms dealer.

  5. Allowing, facilitating, aiding, or abetting the manufacture of a firearm by a person who is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

  6. Manufacturing, or causing the manufacture of, assault weapons, machineguns, undetectable firearms, unserialized firearms, unsafe handguns not on the California Department of Justice roster, or other generally prohibited weapons.

This notice is based on California Civil Code §3273.51, as amended by AB 1263.

Step 5: Customer Acknowledgment

Please copy and paste the statement below into your verification email:

I acknowledge that I have received and understand the California AB 1263 legal notice provided by RailWoods. I certify that I am the purchaser of this order, that I am at least 18 years old, and that the shipping address on my order matches my government-issued identification. I understand that proof of identification and a signature may be required at delivery.

Step 6: Delivery Signature Required

California orders may require signature confirmation and proof of identification at delivery.

Your package may be labeled:

Signature and proof of identification of person aged 18 years or older required for delivery.

Someone who can provide the required identification and signature must be available to accept the package.

Processing Notes

California orders may take longer to process because of these additional verification requirements.

If we do not receive the required verification information, or if the information does not match the order, we may be unable to ship the order.
